Today, The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister of Uganda, Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda officially announced the discharge of 3 patients from Entebbe Grade B Hospital who were earlier diagnosed with COVID-19. “The patients we are discharging today have spent 21 days in hospital. It takes time for the viral load to go down,” said Hon. Jane Ruth Aceng, Minister of Health.

The new case is a 39-year-old Kenyan male truck driver who arrived via Malaba border point.
Efforts to track the Kenyan truck driver are underway, according to the Ministry of Health.
3 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Uganda on 2nd May 2020.
The confirmed cases are, 1 Kenyan and 1 Burundian who arrived via Malaba border point and a 22-year-old Ugandan male from Rakai District.
The total of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Uganda are 88.
2 new COVID-19 cases confirmed on 1st May 2020.
According to the Ministry of Health, the confirmed cases are, a 35-year-old Kenyan male truck driver who arrived via Busia border and a Ugandan male from Masindi District, who was confirmed from the rapid assessment survey.
2 new COVID-19 cases confirmed at Uganda Virus Research Institute on 30th April 2020. This makes a total of 83 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Uganda.
The confirmed cases are both Kenyan male truck drivers: a 55-year-old and a 27-year-old who arrived via Busia and Malaba respectively.

Uganda Virus Research Institute confirms results of the 2 suspected COVID-19 cases that were admitted St. Mary’s Lacor Hospital are negative for COVID-19.
The Ministry of Health launched investigations into the suspected cases after the death of two COVID-19 suspected patients at Lacor Hospital in Gulu District.
All 2,400 samples tested negative for COVID-19 in Uganda ton 28th April 2020.
Of these, 534 samples were from the community while 1,866 samples were from truck drivers.
The total of Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Uganda still stands at 79 while total recoveries are 52. The active cases are 13.
Uganda has not registered any COVID-19 deaths.
All 2,557 samples tested negative for COVID-19 at Uganda Virus Research Institute on 27th April 2020.
Of the total samples tested at UVRI, 319 were from the community while 2,239 were from truck drivers at different border points.
The total of Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Uganda still stands at 79 while total recoveries are 47.
