1 new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed out of the 1,177 samples tested at UVRI on 20th April 2020.

1 new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed out of the 1,177 samples tested at Uganda Virus Research Institute on 20th April 2020.

According to the Ministry of Health the new case is a 46-year-old Burundian refugee who arrived from Tanzania and was quarantined in Rakai district.

The total number of confirmed cases in Uganda is now 56.

 Earlier, 10 patients were discharged from at Entebbe Grade B hospital.

 These included 5 Children from the Watoto Choir, 3 of their attendants, 1 boda boda rider from Kasubi and ,1 patient from Kalangala district.

 The discharge of the patients was presided over by the State Minister for Primary Health Care, Joyce Moriku.

 The total number of COVID-19 recoveries now stand at 38 while active cases are 17.
