2 new COVID-19 cases confirmed out of 2,002 samples tested at Uganda Virus Research Institute on 29th April 2020.
Both cases are male; a Ugandan national and a Burundian refugee.
They are under quarantine at Rakai hospital. This makes a total of 81 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Uganda
The two confirmed cases were among 299 samples tested among the community and individuals under quarantine.
All 1,703 samples from truck drivers at border points of entry tested negative for COVID-19
Uganda has not registered any COVID-19 deaths.
Elsewhere, as of 29th April 2020, Tanzania had 480 confirmed cases of COVID-19, Kenya had 374 confirmed cases and Rwanda had 207 confirmed cases.
