All 1,408 samples have tested negative for COVID-19 today at Uganda Virus Research Institute.

All 1,408 samples have tested negative for COVID-19 at Uganda Virus Research Institute on 25th April 2020.
 
According to the Director General of Health Services Dr Henry Mwebesa, 483 samples were from the community while 925 samples were from truck drivers at border points.
 
The number of Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Uganda stands at 75.
 
Dr Mwebesa adds that 19 cases are in stable condition in different hospitals. Three patients are admitted in Mulago National Specialised hospital, (9) at Entebbe Grade B hospital, Arua Regional Referral hospital (4), Jinja Regional Referral hospital (1), Masaka Regional Referral hospital (1) and Kabale Regional Referral hospital (1)  
 
The total number of COVID-19 recoveries in Uganda are 46.
 
To-date 20,329 samples have been tested for COVID-19 at UVRI. A total of 1,616 contacts were listed for follow up while 1323 have completed the mandatory 14 day follow up. 293 contacts to the confirmed cases are being followed up by the Ministry of Health surveillance officers.
