All 2,557 samples tested negative for COVID-19 at UVRI today.

All 2,557 samples tested negative for COVID-19 at Uganda Virus Research Institute on 27th April 2020.

Of the total samples tested at UVRI, 319 were from the community while 2,239 were from truck drivers at different border points.

The total of Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 in Uganda still stands at 79 while total recoveries are 47.

All 18 cases admitted in different hospitals are in stable condition. Two patients are admitted at Mulago National Specialized hospital, Entebbe Grade B hospital (9), Arua Regional Referral hospital (4), Jinja Regional Referral hospital (1), Masaka Regional Referral hospital (1) and Kabale Regional Referral hospital (1)

According to the Director General of Health Services, Dr Henry Mwebesa 6 Kenyans and 8 Tanzanians truck drivers have returned to their respective countries.

Elsewhere, as of 27th April 2020, Kenya had reported 363 confirmed cases of COVID-19, Tanzania had 299, confirmed cases, Rwanda had 191 confirmed cases, Burundi had 15 confirmed cases and South Sudan had 6 cases.
