COVID-19 daily update 15-04-2020

Today, a total of 1,032 samples were tested at UVRI and they all tested negative for covid-19. 551 samples were collected from truck drivers at border points of entry while 481 samples were from individuals under institutional quarantine and contacts to confirmed cases in the country. The confirmed cases of covid-19 still stand at 55 in Uganda.

In another development, Mulago hospital discharged 4 patients who had recovered and tested negative twice for COVID-19. Total number of patients who have been discharged from hospitals is now 12. Please refer to the press release below from Ministry of Health Uganda with details and an update on the covid-19 outbreak in Uganda.

Remember to wash your hands regularly and thoroughly with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. Also, continue to follow WHO guidelines on social distancing, keep at least 4 meters from the individual nearest to you.
