American Ambassador Natalie Brown had a successful visit to the Uganda Virus Research Institute(UVRI) on 16th March 2020. The ambassador was able to meet the teams in a brief introductory meeting that was chaired by Prof Kaleebu and was later ushered in a brief tour of the UVRI campus by Dr Lutwama Tom where she appreciated the remarkable work.
She visited the labs with a focus on the CDC supported labs namely VHF, ARBOVIRUS, COVID-19/influenza to mention but a few.
She concluded her tour with a visit to the Zika Forest.
