World Health Organization (WHO) Excellence in Viral Surveillance: 2018

This award honors leading research institutions for their ability to build and maintain robust disease surveillance systems. Honorees are recognized based on their commitment to public health excellence and dedication to rapid outbreak response. These institutions have demonstrated their ability to successfully lead regional epidemiological efforts and use their expertise to tackle emerging infectious disease challenges.

African Union Commission, Health Innovation Award: 2015

This award honors top research institutions across Africa for their ability to build and lead innovative research organizations. Honorees are nominated for this award based on their passion for advancing science and commitment to excellent public health outcomes. These institutions have demonstrated their ability to successfully lead groundbreaking research programs and use their expertise to tackle disease control challenges.

Global Virome Consortium Research Partnership Recognition: 2012

This award honors leading virology institutes for their ability to build and lead collaborative research networks.
