All 1,408 samples tested negative today for covid-19 at the UVRI. 19 cases are in stable condition in hospitals while a total of 20,329 samples have tested for COVID-19 in Uganda to date. Today, one (1) new case was confirmed for COVID-19 out of the 1,116 samples tested at UVRI from truck drivers at the boarder posts. This confirmed new COVID-19 case is a 43-year-old Ugandan truck driver who arrived from Kenya via Malaba border. Total number of confirmed cases of covid-19 stands at 75 in Uganda. All 417 samples from the community were negative for covid-19.
Eleven (11) new cases were confirmed for COVID-19 out of the 1,331 samples tested today. The confirmed new COVID-19 cases were 6 Tanzanian truck drivers who arrived via Mutukula border and 5 Kenyan truck drivers; 3 arrived via Malaba and 2 arrived via Busia. Total number of confirmed cases of covid-19 stands at 74 in Uganda.
Today, two (2) new cases were confirmed for COVID-19 out of the 1,019 samples tested at UVRI. The confirmed new cases are of a 35-year-old Tanzanian truck driver who arrived from Tanzania at Mutukula border and a 43-year-old Tanzanian truck driver who is a contact to a previously confirmed case. Total number of confirmed cases of covid-19 stands at 63 in Uganda.
One (1) new case was confirmed for COVID-19 out of the 1,019 samples tested at UVRI. This confirmed new COVID-19 case is a 32-year-old Kenyan truck driver who arrived from Kenya at Malaba border. Total number of confirmed cases of covid-19 stands at 61 in Uganda.
According to Ministry of Health – Uganda, one (1) new case was confirmed for COVID-19 out of the 1,177 samples tested. This confirmed new COVID-19 case is a 46-year-old Burundian refugee who arrived from Tanzania and was quarantined in Rakai District. Total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Uganda is now 56. More 10 patients were discharged from Entebbe Grade B Hospital.
A total of 1,162 samples tested negative for covid-19. 839 samples were from truck drivers at border points of entry. 323 samples were from individuals under institutional quarantine and contacts to confirmed cases in the country. Confirmed cases of covid-19 stand at 55 in Uganda.

Today, The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister of Uganda, Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda officially announced the discharge of 3 patients from Entebbe Grade B Hospital who were earlier diagnosed with COVID-19. “The patients we are discharging today have spent 21 days in hospital. It takes time for the viral load to go down,” said Hon. Jane Ruth Aceng, Minister of Health.
